Approached by one of their fixers, Kitten, Eric Olm and Glitch are offered a job with very few details. Step one, show up at the meet and get info as to what is being asked of them. The good news, there’s backup – another runner has also been hired for the job. Someone that Kitten already knows.
Heading to the meetup spot, they meet Cherry waiting on the corner. After brief (re)introductions, the team heads inside to meet the Johnson and get the details of the job.
The job itself seems simple. 30,000 each for a little wetwork. A gang called the Kleaning Krew in the Redmond Barrens. Probably about 16 members, they have been expansive and more violent than usual of late. Cherry talks up the Johnson another 800 for the job. But they only have three days to get the job done.
The team starts with astral recon – Glitch and Cherry go to the site, an old warehouse once used for refrigerated storage. There they see a fairly typical set of gangers, until they encounter the new boss – Mr. Diamond. He is an astrally active troll who seems not at all intimidated by them. In fact, he has a few questions as to who sent them. After a brief exchange, the encounter ends with the promise that Mr. Diamond will not be as cordial if he sees them in realspace.
Now having an idea what the warehouse layout is, as well as the numbers they’d be facing, the team prepared to hit them head-on. Starting with spellcasting and summons, they pick up the new Diabolus from their last run and drive into the Barrens. Glitch sets his earth elemental on guard duty at the car and the four of them – or three of them and Cherry as a big cat – head to the warehouse.
Subtlety thrown to the wind, Kitten kicks the door open and a gunfight ensues almost immediately. The first four (surprisingly well-armed) gangers are taken out fairly expeditiously. A brief astral foray into the next room warns of a coming ambush, so the team prepares to ambush the ambushers….
